Stones in His Pockets
The second play in our 2021/22 season will begin on the 20th November.
Stones in His Pockets, by Marie Jones, is a tragicomic twohander set in Ireland and will be directed by Dave Ward.
"A small village in rural Ireland is turned upside down when a major Hollywood film studio descends to make a historical blockbuster on location. The story is told through the eyes of Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, who, along with many other locals, are employed as extras on the movie. As cultures clash, it becomes clear that Tinseltown’s romanticised dream of Ireland and the Irish is a long, long way from reality."
Although the play contains 15 characters, the cast comprises just two actors. In our production Chris Billington and Pete Thorburn are portraying everyone from Hollywood actresses to Irish schoolboys and we're expecting a hilarious and exciting performance, particularly in light of their previous work together in The 39 Steps.
The show will run from Saturday 20th-27th (excluding Sunday) with curtain up at 19:45.
