Players' Dramatic Society

Anfield Road, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle,

Cheshire, SK8 5EX, UK.

Players Dramatic Society, or Players, is an amateur theatre group. We have been established in Cheadle Hulme for over eighty years and we are one of only two societies still affiliated to the Greater Manchester Drama Federation since the late 1940s.

On our stage, we perform five plays and a youth production each year, Plays are chosen by the Play Selection and Casting Committee and their choice is very diverse. Recent seasons have included plays by Neil Simon, Harold Pinter, Ray Cooney and William Shakespeare. We like to think there is something for everybody. From well loved classics to something a little bit different.

Productions have often received awards from "The Greater Manchester Drama Federation". If you fancy treading the boards, auditions are held about April or May.

"So if you fancy a lead or a walk on role,

Just pick up the phone and give us a call."
