A Conducted Tour

We have our own theatre on Anfield Road in Cheadle Hulme, South of Manchester. Anfield Road is opposite the Kenilworth pub on Cheadle Road. Have you ever been there? If not, please join me now on a conducted tour of our theatre.

We enter through the main door and upstairs on our right is a comfortable, well stocked bar. There is a selection of chilled bottled beers and a good selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks at reasonable prices. The bar committee keep it well stocked and tidy but we always have a vacancy for volunteer bar staff.

"Can you pull a pint of beer?

Then from you, I'd like to hear".

Sometimes the Bar becomes a rehearsal room but during plays, it doubles as a lounge for interval drinks. Throughout the year, it is used for regular socials and fund-raising activities such as quizzes and race nights. Auditions are also held here and our active Youth Group (age 12 and up) meet here on Sunday and Tuesday evenings.

"So if you fancy a drink and a chat,

Come to Players for that's where it's at!"

In the foyer, our Front of House staff welcome the audience on play nights and assist those who require wheelchair access. Reserved parking is available for our less mobile friends. Just let us know in advance. There is ample free car parking within a few metres of the theatre.

The kitchen is an essential part of our society. Tea, Coffee and biscuits are available during productions and can be consumed in our downstairs Coffee Lounge or upstairs if you prefer. We often meet for social functions when we enjoy delicious suppers. Sometimes we enjoy Sunday Lunch together and our Christmas party and buffet lunch are legendary.
